Just wondering....do any of you have an e-reader? Kindle, Nook, etc.? If so, give me your thoughts on them. They look so neat, but I wonder if I'd really like one or not. Sometimes my eyes get really tired looking at the computer, so I wonder if I'd get eyestrain with an e-reader. Also, I love to swap books with friends. If I understand correctly, that's not always possible or easy with an e-reader. Do you know anything about this? What about the availability of cheap e-books? I love to shop the bargain table at B****s and N***e!
Speaking of books, I've just finished I Still Dream About You by Fannie Flagg. It was a $5.98 bargain book at BN. It was a great read! Would you believe it's my first Fannie Flagg book? I've never even read (or seen) Fried Green Tomatoes! I think I'm going to have to remedy that soon, though!

I have wanted one for awhile, but every time I think I'm going to take the plunge, I change my mind.
They're saying that eventually schools won't have textbooks--everything will be eReader versions...but until then I'll keep my books. I love to smell them--turn the pages---etc. I'm a tactile/hands-on learner so I enjoy the actual book.

I have a Kindle, and use it occasionally. But, it takes something away fromreading to me. I just like the feel and sound and smell of books. And, it is just not the same with the Kindle.
If you go to the blog spot on your Kindle-- you will see free books...You can learn, there, too, how to swap books on your Kindle with other readers for 14 days free...I have found about 90 free books while doing so and LOVE all that I have read so far. Good luck!
P.S. I have found, too...with my Kindle I am reading A LOT more!!!! I don't know how I lived without it! I love to travel with mine. I sat, in Hawaii, beach front--- with one Kindle containing all the books I could want!! It's so light and easy to carry in my purse! I got the cover with the light and that is great, great while flying at night!
